Our history
Traf-Tex, Inc. was incorporated in April 1999. Since September 1999 we have contracted for traffic signal installations, intelligent traffic systems (ITS), roadway lighting and traffic control in and around Houston.
Our team brings over 160 combined years of experience in traffic signal and traffic systems work. We have completed projects from a few thousand dollars to several million, both as a general contractor and as a subcontractor to major roadway contractors.
What we specialize in
Traf-Tex specializes in installing and maintaining intelligent traffic management systems. Our headquarters is in the heart of Houston, so we can mobilize quickly and keep downtime short for our customers.
Our technicians and electricians are trained across the board and specialize in fiber optic systems, T1, Changeable Message Signs (CMS) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), ramp meters, CCTV, video image vehicle detection (VIVDS), inductive loop and radar detection, signal maintenance, roadway lighting and large roadway signs.
